Teeline Rules

Week 3

Units 14 and 15

55. '- MENT' - this ending is written as a small disjoined 'M' written in the 'T' position close to the rest of the word.

56. '-SELF' - write 'SL' only, either upwards or downwards, whichever is more convenient. For 'SELVES', add an 'S' to the '-SELF' ending.

57. 'SHUN' - a disjoined 'N' is written in the 'T' position close to the previous part of the outline represents '-TION' and the sound of -SHUN', however this is spelt. 'SHUN' can be extended by adding other letters.
58. Words ending in 'LY' may be shortened by omitting the 'L'.

59. Vowels may be added to the disjoined ending to make the reading back easier, although this is not usually necessary.

60. '-SHL' - some word endings sound '-SHL' but can be spelt '-TIAL' or '-CIAL'. In both cases, a disjoined SH is used, written near to the end of the previous stroke. '-SHL' can be extended by adding other letters.

61. '-SHIP' - a joined SH represents the word ending '-SHIP'.
